Projected Draft Position:
Late 1st-Early 2nd

For Kicks:
At 6'6" with a 7'2" wingspan and a 42" vertical, Manny Lawson outjumps the classical device to measure vertical leap. The machine has to be propped up to accomodate his freakish athleticism.

Competed as a hurdler, long jumper, and triple jumper for the NC State Track team.

Lawson would make the prototypical 3-4 pass rushing DE/OLB-tweener.

"I call him 'Manny Long.' He's a freak -- it's ridiculous. He's unbelievably strong. I've never been hit by him, thank God."
- Oliver Hoyte, NC State Linebacker

In 2004, Manny was the strength index champion among the team's linemen -- as he was able to bench press 385 pounds and power clean 340. Those lineman included fellow draftable talent, John McCargo, and elite prospect, Mario Williams.
