Gabe Watson, DT. Michigan

Gabe Watson
6'4", 339. 5.25

Info:
Big, strong nose tackle...An immoveable force in the middle...Moves well for his size...Requires double-teaming when run blocking...Even gets penetration occassionally as a pass rusher...Lazy underachiever.

Projected Draft Position:
Late 1st-Mid 2nd

For Kicks:
At the Senior Bowl, Gabe had to be taken out of drills so that the team could get practice running up the middle. While he was on the field, the offense could simply not move the ball through the inside.

Watson is quite lazy on the field. During one play, he looks like the best DT prospect in the country. On the next play, he will resemble an undraftable, talentless free agent. Nevertheless, he has incredible skills in-game.

"It's always hard to find defensive linemen that play with great consistency. That's going to be the question on him - can he do it on a down to down basis? But he's so massive. He's a very big guy that can be a very physical force."
- Phil Savage, Browns GM
