Demeco was the 3rd player on Mel Kiper's board following the NCAA season behind Reggie Bush and Matt Leinart. He has since fallen steadily due to his lacking of the measureables. He is simply undersized and not very fast for an outside linebacker.

During 7-on-7 drills at the Senior Bowl, Ryans was said to look "immortal" by Bucs Head Coach, Jon Gruden.
